17/02/2017: Ira Weinstein's notes and comments from the largest AV show in the world.
February 2017 brought with it the 14th annual Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) event in Amsterdam. This year’s expo made a big splash with record attendance with almost 1,200 AV vendors and service providers, 73,000 attendees from 150 countries (an all-time high, 11.7% increase from 2016), and more than 600 press and media personnel.
"Some of our readers may be familiar with Montage - a software-based wireless presentation system from DisplayNote. (FYI - WR recently tested Montage in our lab, and we hope to release our results soon). At ISE 2017, DisplayNote announced and demoed a new offering called Mosaic - a software-based (Windows 10), multi-location-friendly ideation solution that supports wireless presentation, digital whiteboarding, annotation, and WebRTC-powered video conferencing. According to the company, Mosaic can even run on a Raspberry Pi (available for < $100 on Amazon). Mosaic is expected to ship in Q2 2017 and comes pre-loaded on NEC's Infinity Board displays".
