How embedded Screen Sharing transformed the student experience for Baker Middle School.
Baker County Middle School believes in building a legacy of excellence, one student at a time. The focus and dedication to student development and learning is evident in all areas of academic life.
For Jessica Odom, a teacher at Baker County, to achieve student excellence, she needed the right technology in the room.
The Challenge
Giving students a platform to share their work, thoughts and ideas should be a simple process, to keep the lesson flowing, with no complex instructions to pass on to students. Jessica was limited in how she could provide this opportunity to students that didn’t split her focus:
“Several times throughout the year I have students work on projects they need to present to the entire class. It has been difficult in the past because students have had to share their projects with me and then I have had to sift through multiple emails to find their project to present it to the class. This takes precious time away from class.”
Life after DisplayNote
Moving to interactive displays with DisplayNote Screen Sharing embedded within, Jessica and her students had access to quick and simple wireless screen sharing that gives students the right platform to present and allows teachers to focus on what’s important, student development.
“DisplayNote is simple to use and easier for students to access than teaching them how to share and email their presentations to me.”
Wireless screen sharing that’s fast and simple to use becomes a time saver in class. From her experience, Jessica believes more teachers should be made aware of how beneficial DisplayNote can be. With one key advantage for teachers using DisplayNote, being the productivity and privacy that comes with sharing a tab or window.
“DisplayNote makes sharing things from my screen easy, and I love the ability I have to share only a specific window or my entire screen.”
Students are the priority
DisplayNote addressed Jessica’s main challenges of time management, student control, and presentation efficiency, providing a practical solution that’s easy to use. Jessica’s endorsement of DisplayNote reflects the system’s ability to make classroom activities smoother, more collaborative, and ultimately more engaging for students.
For Jessica and her students, DisplayNote has not only saved time but has made the process of presenting and sharing work more intuitive, ensuring that lessons run more smoothly, without the hiccups of email management and device coordination. As more teachers embrace tools like DisplayNote, classrooms can become spaces where technology enhances learning, rather than complicating it.
It’s fantastic to be able to support dedicated teachers like Jessica in her desire to utilize the right technology to create a learning environment that prioritizes students. DisplayNote Screen Sharing is built around the user experience, with easy connection, controlled sessions and the freedom to share wherever and however you need to.
