Darryl Donnelly

Software Engineering Intern

Tell us a bit more about your role at DisplayNote

I’m currently testing Launcher, marking passes and failures, and making notes of anything of significance. I’ve also been doing some exploratory testing for Broadcast. Prior to that, I had been working on an individual and group project, learning the tools and languages being used.

What’s your greatest personal achievement during your time in the company?

I don’t have one particular stand-out thing, but I’m happy with my contributions to the whiteboard group project and what I learned as a result. It’s also good to help with bug testing now and know that that’s going to make at least a small difference.

What can we find you doing outside of work?

I spend a lot of time with friends and family and enjoy watching movies or playing games. I also sometimes write software and enjoy learning about how things work, especially when it comes to older hardware and software as it’s interesting learning about challenges that needed to be overcome.

You’re in your favorite coffee shop, what are you ordering?

A hot chocolate.

It’s lunchtime and you’re at the deli. You have free reign to create your ultimate sandwich. What’s in it?

Cheese, ham, salami, lettuce, and a little onion.

You’ve been given a free holiday – where are you off to?

A city adventure somewhere I’ve never been before with my friends – I’d explore the area and take advantage of any events that were happening at the time.
